I’m the hair enthusiast turned makeup and wig stylist behind Lush Crowns. My journey began in 2008 when I moved from Ghana to the U.S. to pursue my education. Living in a small Iowan college town with no salons catering to Afro-textured hair, I took matters into my own hands—researching hair care, growing my natural hair, and crafting wigs to wear throughout the semesters.
That journey gave birth to Lush Crowns.
Over the years, I’ve created 1,000+ wigs and am a strong advocate for healthy hair growth underneath wigs. My work has graced many notable events—from styling the Alhassan bride in Minnesota (2019) to preparing Kirsten Watson (wife of former NFL player Ben Watson) for the 2018 Super Bowl in Minnesota.

As a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist, the most rewarding part is helping clients regain their confidence and sense of self. Having personally experienced postpartum hair loss, I deeply understand the emotional journey that comes with hair loss.
