Growing up in the streets of New York City contributed to my love for
hair fashion, and expression combined with individuality. New York City is known as the fashion capital of the world, and for this and many other reasons, I am proud to be a New Yorker.
Alta Morocha, LLC pronounced; Al-ta Mo-ro-chaa is an endearing term used in South America to describe and compliment a beautiful girl of color in the language Castellano.
"Alta Morocha" was established in 2016 while I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The name was inspired by the Argentine People, who would stop and stare, while they admired my style, and touched my hair. They complimented me by calling me "Alta Morocha."
I wore my hair in different colors and styles not customary in South America. My hairstyles consisted of lengthy Senegalese twists, curly crochet braids, and occasionally long deep wave weaves. Wigs and clip-in extensions were my favorite techniques to use.
While living in Buenos Aires, I quickly realized there was a great need for hair extensions of good quality and versatility. I later created Alta Morocha to offer my services and meet people's needs. The focus was rooted in hair fashion, different styles, colors, and accessibility.
The different techniques used in the Hollywood industry to create an image or a particular role are the most fascinating transformation to me. When Alta Morocha was created this was the vision and inspiration that fueled me.
I've always felt that every person whether a Hollywood celebrity or not, deserves access to such transformation. The wonderful and influential feeling that comes with hair fashion has enough power to transform and uplift the most tender souls.
During my journey as an entrepreneur, My devotion to helping others encouraged me to become Certified in Surgical technology. I later continued my studies and found a way to combine my love for the medical field and my passion for hair and style, by becoming certified as a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist.
I am both excited and humbly honored to help those that have medical hair loss needs.
