Skyla Heard: Cranial Prosthesis Specialist Atlanta, Georgia

With over 4 years of experience as a healthcare professional, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with patients from all walks of life, including cancer patients, as a Patient Care Technician and Medical Assistant Student.

This background has deepened my understanding of the physical and emotional challenges many individuals face, especially those experiencing hair loss. In addition to my healthcare experience, I’ve worked as a hairstylist for over 3 years, specializing in servicing clients with alopecia.

I trained at Paul Mitchell, where I studied cosmetology and developed a passion for creating personalized hair solutions. Combining my healthcare expertise with my skills as a hairstylist allows me to provide compassionate care and create custom cranial prostheses that address both the medical and aesthetic needs of my clients.

What do you enjoy as a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist?

As a Newly Certified Cranial Prosthesis Specialist, I look forward to enjoying the transformative impact my work has on people’s lives. It is incredibly rewarding to see my clients light up with confidence when they see their custom unit for the first time.

I love combining artistry and precision to create natural, personalized solutions that restore hair and self-esteem. Building genuine connections with my clients and supporting them through their journeys is fulfilling, and knowing that I can help them feel beautiful and empowered again brings me immense joy.

How do you want to help your clients?

As a cranial prosthesis specialist, I want to help my clients reclaim their confidence and feel like themselves again. I understand the emotional and physical challenges that hair loss can bring, and I am committed to providing personalized, medical-grade solutions tailored to their unique needs. My goal is to provide comfortable, natural-looking units that not only restore hair but also restore a sense of dignity and self-assurance. I want my clients to leave feeling empowered, supported, and truly seen.

Do you also install medical-grade wigs?

Yes.

What do you love about the community you work and live in?

I love the sense of connection and resilience in the community where I work and live. It’s inspiring to see people come together to support one another, whether through shared experiences or simply by uplifting each other during challenging times.

I appreciate the diversity and unique stories everyone brings, which allows me to create meaningful relationships with my clients. The warmth and strength of this community motivate me to give my best every day and make a positive impact through my work.

As a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist, my mission goes beyond providing medical grade units, I strive to create a safe space where my clients feel heard, valued, and supported. I believe that true beauty lies in confidence, and my work is dedicated to helping people rediscover that within themselves.

Every unit comes with care, precision, and a genuine passion for making a difference. My ultimate goal is to inspire hope, restore dignity, and remind each client that they are so much more than their challenges.
